Mumbai/Pune Get-together...well, in one word - it was simply "EXCELLENT"!!!
Here goes the story...

I reached charni road, the place where i was suppose to meet Smriti & Sharad, at 4:50 pm. sharp... 2 mins later Sharad walked in... he just made a wild guess that it must be me, i.e. Namrata, as we were meeting for the first time... Ms. late-latif, i.e. Smriti kept us waiting for only 20 minutes... meanwhile got a
couple of calls from eagerly waiting Minal & Pradeep...finally we joined Minal & Pradeep at the Mafatlal
Boating Club... 5 mins later Nitin joined us...

Mafatlal Boating Club turned out to be a lovely place by the sea... am sure smriti must have changed her
opinion about the place... remember earlier she had termed it as a "goofy place'... kyon smriti ji?

The people present at the get-together were :
Minal - fashion designer by profession & the person who recommended such a lovely place for get-together...and who is a member of this club... thanx minal.
Pradeep - CA by profession... we sort of cursed him to call us so early at 5 as we had to sit in the sun... but we are actually thankful to him as we cud spend more time with each other...
Nitin - software professional... got a bit late as he got stuck up in the local train... a very soft-spoken person...
Smriti - software professiona l... a person with lots &
lots of queries... believe me, its difficult to satiate her inquisitiveness...
Sharad - again a software professional... came all the way from pune to be a part of this historical get-together...
myself, thats Namrata - into PR & Corporate Communications... well, what tos ay about myself? ;)

Guest appearance was made by Sonal, i.e. minal's sister... pradeep had termed her as 'terror'... which
is actually wrong... she is a terror only for those who mess with her, otherwise she is a very sweet
female & fashion designer by profession...The surprises of the get-together were the kids...
Krishna Jaiswal & Aditya Jaiswal... they happen to be neice & nephew of Minal...
Krishna loves swimming, dancing, singing, sports, cracking jokes,.... and the list goes on...... the only thing which she hates is "GUYS"... yes, these are her words... so guys be aware... Aditya is a cute kid who can be controlled only by his aunt, sonal...

The guest of the evening was Somil, who is a close friend of Sharad & is working with TCS, mumbai...

Yesterday's get-together was fun... where all of us got to know each other... we had been interacting with
each other thru mails... believe me, meeting in person is great fun & is a totally different experience... i
just wish, if all the youth-jaiswal members can meet together...

Photographs are awaited from Smriti... the moment i get it from her i will forward it with the captions...
i am sure, all of us wud love to see the photos, especially of the surprise of the day, meaning Krishna
Jaiswal... she can definitely give competition to Sonal, Harish's daughter.... just kidding!

Now coming to the agenda of the meeting... 'sing with sharad... dance with sharad...' thats what
smriti had said... well, sharad didnt dance... but he did not disappoint us... he concluded the day with one
of the famous songs, which happens to be his favourite one... "EK DIN MIT JAYEGA MAATI KE BOL, JAG MEIN RAH JAYENGE PYARE TERE BOL...."

Before i conclude i wud like to thank our moderators - Harish & Ashich, for giving us the platform to
communicate with each other & thereby bringing us closer... i am also thankful to minal, pradeep, nitin,
sonal, smriti & sharad for making this get-together a success... last but not the least, i thank all of u for reading this... ha-ha..

2. Mumbai Jaiswal Samaj Smriti & myself have decided to become a member of this Samaj... most probably this sunday we will register ourselves... Minal is already a member... this samaj will help us in reaching out to many more
jaiswals in Mumbai...

a) . Member login - the data available on our website, i.e. members' profile, hyderabad database etc can be
accessed by any person visiting the website... it shud be accessible only to the members who have logged in... apart from this some secrecy shud be maintained...

b) Lots of things can be done on the website... suggestions & recommendations are welcomed from each & every member...

c). Volunteers required to assist harish, as we cannot expect him to do everything regarding website... so
software professionals plz volunteer & co-ordinate with harish...

4.IIncrease the Number of Members All of us agreed to add as many members as possible... our cousins & so on... since minal, pradeep & nitin have been staying in mumbai since their birth, they happen to know many people... and will try to bring them into the group...

5. Excessive Mails It was felt that people who dont access their mails regularly are finding it difficult... the idea of weekly & fortnightly mails was made... sharad has already mentioned about the alternative solutions in one of his mails... kindly go thru it...

6. Weekly Compilation it was suggested by sharad that important points / suggestions / recommendations made by the members shud be compiled and mailed to all the members and posted
on the Message Board of the website on a weekly basis... in this way important points wont be missed
or overlooked... apart from this volunteers will be required to do the recommended tasks... Sharad has
taken the responsibilty of compiling the messages... sharad, dont say no... do it at least for a month...
then some other member can do it... guys, plz volunteer...

7. Monthly News-letter we can have a monthly newsletter on the website... giving updates of the events & happenings across the globe... i can volunteer to do this... but i need help from each & every member... meaning u will have to keep me updated about the happenings and send me the matter... is it ok?

8. Next Get-together Next get-together will be on April 27th, i.e. when manish comes to mumbai... so pune & mumbai members plz plan ur schedule accordingly... this time no excuse from people who did not come... archana, kiran, tripti, prem, krishna, devesh, ritika & others... will tell u the time & venue later on...
